What began as a simple two man operation several years ago, Energy Curtailment Specialists, Inc. (ECS) has evolved into the largest demand response provider in the United States.
Thousands of customers have joined forces in ECS programs to reduce 1,000 MW of power from the grid each and every time an emergency-level crisis occurs and this pool is growing daily.
This is enough electricity to power 1 million homes. More than 3,000 MW of load is under ECS's management.
The State of New York is serious about the concept of demand response , designating it as one of the first elements necessary for a successful energy policy. ECS, as the largest provider, has been behind the push towards opening up these programs directly and more easily to the electricity consumers themselves. ECS is a full service demand response company approved to operate as such within the State of New York through the New York Independent System Operator (NYISO).
ECS is considered the leader in its field and respected by others in the industry. Our customer-first approach has been the key to our growth over the past several years. We look forward to continuing to bring significant revenues and energy savings to the doorsteps of New York businesses. Over the past five years alone, ECS has paid more than $35 million to participants in its programs.
