KCP&L to host free “lunch and learn” seminar

Kansas City Power & Light (KCP&L), in conjunction with Energy Curtailment Specialists, Inc. (ECS), will hold a free “lunch & learn” seminar on Thursday, Jan. 24, 2008 from 11:00 am until 2:00 pm to educate local businesses about KCP&L’s MPower program.
Industry professionals, Brian File, Demand Response Product Manager at KCP&L and Paul Tyno, Executive Vice President, Program Development at ECS, will address topics including techniques for energy conservation and how to earn money with MPower.
MPower is a KCP&L program that pays businesses to conserve electricity for a few hours in the summer, if the need arises, to help meet peak summer electric demand and defer the need to build additional generating resources.
